It’s been a while since I’ve been here. And I don’t know how long I can stay. Our internet…. holy cow… it is awful. The park offers wifi but the techs that maintain the routers and such are horrible. The worst. We lost all internet capability way back in April or May. Nothing was done about it… I’m sure because most of the winter Texans were gone for the summer. Anyway, a few weeks ago the park started doing the maintenance things that are typical before the new season begins… mowing, trimming, cutting back trees, fixing things, cleaning the pool… and installing new wifi routers. We were excited! Finally! Internet…. right.

A username and password are now required…I’m good with that…. keeps the neighborhood folks behind us from using up our bandwidth. There are 3 routers putting out extremely good signal. But the server hosting the page to enter the username and password is awful. The server is incredibly slow and most of the time doesn’t respond at all. Which means… no flippin internet. Very aggravating.

Okay, enough of that.

Let’s see…. football is good. The team is 5-3 in district… amazing for a second year team comprised of mostly sophomores and juniors. It’s been an incredible season and lots of fun to watch them win. Next year is going to be awesome! There’s one more game left for this season. It goes by so fast!

I replaced my broken lens… a few days ago I was able to go buy a new one. I’m whole again. Complete. Ahhhh….

Work is busy as usual. I just finished taking the most boring class ever to be offered I think. OSHA 10 hour general industry certification. Dang if that wasn’t some dry ass shit. But it’s done. I passed. No more OSHA… ever! Well, unless El Jefe tells me I have to.

A few shots from the last game… maybe they’ll load up… eek…

  1. I hope things get better with the internet for you. My life kind of goes on hold if I don’t have internet availability. Ugh.

    Fun photos. Thanks for sharing.

  2. At least you are here to say hello! πŸ™‚ Which is more than I can say – (so busy… yikes!) One day soon I hope to get back to blogging again. I do have some ideas to help me get back on track. Wishing us both good luck! πŸ˜€ – Oh, and congrats on getting the certification done! πŸ™‚

  3. So annoying when we have internet problems! I hated when I had to attend required professional development that wasn’t something I chose. Great photos!

  4. Good to see you back – however briefly, and better to hear that you have a lens again.

  5. Nice to ‘see’ you!! And so glad your camera is back in action.
I hate it when my internet isn’t INSTANT. Funny how we get used to things, isn’t it? Imagine 20 years ago if someone had told you you’d have the internet and digital photography and cell phones that would take pictures, play music, go on the internet, track your every move…
