#000000;">after lots of sweat – so much that we are both dehydrated… and may or may not some immodium – the call came in.

#000000;">lots and lots of phone calls later… calls to principals, teachers, directors, and the troll under the bridge… the recommendation has been signed…. even the associate superintendent wants him!

#000000;">only 4 more days of waiting is left before the formal offer/contract is official…. the recommendation has to be presented to the school board for their approval. but from what i’ve been told, the school board will approve if the recommendation is there.

#000000;">color us sabercats!

#000000;">now to get me a job…. sheesh… after all this junk getting coach a job, i sure hope mine goes much quicker! i don’t know if we can handle the same process again ha! it very much resembled the roller coaster at the top of the stratosphere with an added jammed up stop in the middle just to add another dash of anxiety to the ride…. holy cow

#000000;">my application is in the process of being processed… references have sent in their part, i have sent in my part…. now we wait for me… although, we were told that if coach was hired, i would have a job….

#000000;">break out the fine wine – raise a glass – and do a high kick!

#000000;">oh wait, we have no wine, or glasses… and i most certainly can’t do a high kick anymore – at least not without busting my ass!

Being an adult is like looking both ways before you cross the street and then getting hit by an airplane.

  1. This is fantastic Sherri!! I am so happy for you and Coach. I hope the old AD hears about this — I think he’ll be in for some tongue-lashing from players and parents. They lost a great guy when the AD lowered his ax on the coaches. Good luck on the work ahead.

    Peace,
    Muff

  2. Glad to hear that everything is falling into place for coach. What job did you apply for? You work for Emergency Management now don’t you?

    • i do work for emergency management now… i’m not sure what sort of job i’ll have when we move. i do know that they have said if coach was hired, they would give me a job on the campus. and since it’s a new campus, there are dozens and dozens of positions available. i’m not a teacher so most likely i’ll end up in the front office doing some type of clerical work – which is just fine with me ha! less stress…. much less stress… there was one opening working in the library writing bibliographies, culling books, ordering new books…that job sounds like something i would love!

but it’s up to the principal where i end up… i submitted all my stuff and they’ll decide what to do with me. my only fear is that i am way over-qualified for any of it…. sometimes that can work against you…. but i’m not going to worry about it. coach has a job and i one will come my way as well ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. i did a razzleberry peace tea lol

  4. Prayers answered. Congrats to you and the Coach. you two are well deserving of this !!!

    • thank you so much for the prayers ๐Ÿ™‚ and yes, the power of prayer is an amazing thing…

i have been reminding coach through out all this that it’s God’s time, not ours…. i had faith that we would get the right job at the right place when God was ready

  5. Oh. Wow. Much happiness for you both.

  6. Woo hoo. Have a beer and do the high fives!
