ugh

…just plain ol’ ugh

i have been writing -with a pen! – the entire journey… i’m keeping very detailed records of our move… miles between towns, gasoline consumption, food, snacks, and other miscellaneous expenses (such as two tires for the trailer after having a blow out on the side of the highway in BFE yesterday). i will be claiming all of these things on our income tax return next year as long as they don’t change the rules on claiming moves for work.

it was a LONG day yesterday… we left Austin at 12:30 PM and returned at 3:30 AM… and i was up at 6:45 this morning to get this day started. we are moving the tin can today… i hope we can get out of Austin soon. the good thing about today’s journey is that we are only going one way which equals a good night’s sleep tonight. tomorrow morning we will get up early and come back to Austin to pick up coach’s pony and haul him to Edinburg.

then the move is complete! finished!

i have stories to tell of course and will get to those this weekend.

i am beat all to hell but somehow i’m managing to continue moving. not sure how that is happening because i’m pretty much dead on my feet. i’m lovingly going towards the light at the end of this tunnel… we will get there! we will!

i have been reading blogs and have saved many of them that i have comments for… i will get back to you guys in the next few days… muffie, you have written so many wonderful posts and i have so many thoughts brewing around in the noggin… same for faith, judy and webster!

Being an adult is like looking both ways before you cross the street and then getting hit by an airplane.

  3. I can’t believe that in the middle of this complex move, you’re thinking about us, too. I hope Everything goes really well so you can take a well-deserved rest. Good luck.

  4. Oh my you all are busy busy. I am having a brain fog day so keeping comments to min also. Hope you get to end of the tunnel soon and see the light and it is not a train hee hee.

  5. I’m looking forward to your comments, Sherri. So, you’ve been writing WITH A PEN :::gasp:::, and you got a flat tire out in BFE :::sigh::: (and it was either at night or it was 123 effin’ degrees out). You guys just don’t do things half way, do you?

Seriously, I hope that both you and Coach get through this move intact. Can you say tequila?

  6. Goodness it was hard to find somewhere to comment today. I think my mind is out to lunch. I am glad that you are managing to cope with the stress and strain of moving and am sending you hugs across the miles.
