  • gotta have some more blood work done next week…. oh joy

there you have it… not a very eventful day.. but that’s okay – the uneventful ones are so nice after all the eventful ones i’ve had in the past 6 weeks or so…

oh and just 1 last thing:

if you don’t want to be searched or scanned, don’t fly! those of us who like to be safe and free of bombings don’t mind. it’s not like are trying to cop a cheap feel or anything… and if you don’t like it, get scanned… they don’t really “see” you naked… come on now….

Being an adult is like looking both ways before you cross the street and then getting hit by an airplane.

  1. I don’t like the scans because I’ve already had so much radiation, I don’t want any more. But I don’t think the pat downs will really “see” what a scan does, and in this day and age, that is not good.

I really think the scans (including children, because I can easily see a terrorist having a bomb on their infant/baby/child – they are just that insande IMO) are the only way to be safe, including the crew-like you mentioned, and also, ALL the luggage.

    • i bet you might glow in the dark 🙂

coach and i have pretty much decided we are just going to drive or take the train when we travel… seems easier and it allows us the see the world better…

i agree with the security measures… i don’t know if they are going about it the right way…but i agree that we need to step it up and protect our country…

  2. >ha! it is fun to find someone who mentions something local… i always giggle and tell coach "hey! they're talking about austin…" he just rolls his eyes at me

  3. >i think i would go for the body scan too… something about the pat down seems more invasive… at least with the scan they're only looking at my stuff.. with the pat down they're feeling my stuff… um, scan me please!

  4. >in these times, i don't know that i would even consider getting on a plane…and that is unfortunate…but should i have to fly – i want EVERYONE checked…including the cockpit crew and stewards!

  5. >it is a band! i went and looked them up on the internet… they are some world class musicians (at least here in Austin ha) … i'm glad Grams told me because it was baffling me… so you are here too?

  6. >I didn't know you lived here. I've been seeing tittybingo for ever. I am like 24% sure it's a band? I feel like someone told me that once.

      • Yup. A regular old austinite. I love reading blogs from people in town
because it’s fun to be like “I know that place!”

Oh yes Autsin has so many world class musicians like titty bingo. I mean the
name alone says it all. And isn’t it nice that it can bring local bloggers
        together?

        • ha! it is fun to find someone who mentions something local… i always giggle and tell coach “hey! they’re talking about austin…” he just rolls his eyes at me

  8. My husband was chosen for a body scan. It was funny, the kids were the next ones in line, but they were told to step aside so my husband could go through first. It was funny — he’s a tough guy, but he said he did feel violated afterward (but it’s still better than the alternative of them feeling all over your body).

    • i think i would go for the body scan too… something about the pat down seems more invasive… at least with the scan they’re only looking at my stuff.. with the pat down they’re feeling my stuff… um, scan me please!

  9. >i'm sick of the doc too! and i'm just starting out… ugh! i would imagine that the pat down thing would be awful for you… i'm sorry that you had to experience abuse in your life… it is completely unforgivable for some to hurt another that way…

  10. >oh i'm so happy you cleared that up for me! i have been going nutso trying to figure it out ha!

  11. I agree… don’t fly. I’m old, and my body is not beautiful anymore. Scan me like a MOTHA!!!

I travel a lot… so I do want you scanned.

    • in these times, i don’t know that i would even consider getting on a plane…and that is unfortunate…but should i have to fly – i want EVERYONE checked…including the cockpit crew and stewards!

  12. Titty Bingo is a rock band from Texas. They have a web page http://tittybingo.com/content/standard/.

  13. I have to get blood work done tomorrow. And talk to the doctor about getting on anxiolytics. I’m so sick of going to the doctor.

Love following the thought process. Kind of random, like me.

I’m glad I don’t fly. I understand the thought behind it all, but it would not be good for me. I was sexually abused for years as a child and it’s likely to send me into a PTSD meltdown. Just not going to happen.
