Oh so much better after that morning nap. I think I slept for about 2 more hours. I’m still a bit sore but not like it was. Man, I hope that doesn’t happen again tonight!
We finally had a bit of rain yesterday. Every morning the sky is overcast. Every afternoon these lovely grey big huge heavy clouds build up… but nothing happens. It’s such a let down. I sit and watch them form, blowing in from the gulf. Then poof. They are gone. What the hell happens to them? Anyway, I caught a picture of the rain we had yesterday:
Can you see it? I counted about 20 or so wet spots… well, not wet exactly… more like moist
I don’t remember it even changing the smell of the air. Shitty. I thought living closer to the gulf that we might get a bit more rain falling from the heavens. Boy was I wrong. We get all the humidity, the wind, the clouds… but no more rain than what you see up there. When we were living in Austin it never rained. The ground had cracks the size of the Grand Canyon in it… the grass weeds were all brown and crunchy… and rarely was there a cloud in the sky. It was hot… I was watering the house each afternoon just for some cool-down. Guess what? It freakin rains in Austin all the time now! Must be my personal electro-magnetic field or something. It doesn’t rain where I go.
You know how I’ve mentioned that the Queen is on me first thing in the morning? She gets in the bed and insists that I get up. She wedges her body between my head & pillow. She is relentless…at 4:30 in the A.M….. yeah, well, this is why:
I’m going to start shutting the bedroom door! (Not really. I couldn’t do that to her. She would panic)
I see lots of pots hanging from trees around this part of the world. I don’t know if they have a purpose or if they are just decorative. I love pottery though.
I saved this one in color too because I like it both ways
