#000000;">i find it hard to believe that i’ve been at this blogging thing for 3 years or so… that is an incredibly long time when i never really thought i’d stick to it… in the beginning it was a whim… something to do here and there… i’ve always written (pen & ink) so i guess the blog thing has actually been a good thing – since it’s hard to do pen & ink for any length of time (frackin MS cramps & shit)

#000000;">thanks for sticking with me you guys

#000000;">i read an article yesterday, maybe it was a day before that… i’m not sure anymore… anyway i read an article in the recent past that said there were 27,000 deaths in the U.S. in 2007 caused by accidental prescription pill overdose…. damn…google it… you’ll find it

#000000;">bought myself some new kicks yesterday… well, i didn’t really buy them… and no i didn’t steal them either! i had a gift card that i used…. cool! i got me some van’s… the chuck’s are worn out… i will have a proper burial for them… or not… i might paint them and glue them together and pour glitter and sparkles all over them and then hang them from a tree branch and call them art 🙂 hmmm i think i have a few pair of old chucks around the tin can… i’m getting an image… a chuck totem… lots of chuck’s that are glued and glittered and painted and sparkled… oooo

#000000;">poor coach… there are many half painted half finished projects laying around everywhere… he’s such a good sport… he just lets me doodle and paint and glitter and glue whatever i can get my hands on… he told me this morning that i need to go ahead and do some designs on the new floor before he seals it …. awwwwww

#000000;">i’ve been so tempted to draw on the walls around my desk… haven’t done it… my mom taught me that we NEVER write on the walls… so everytime i pick up a pen and face my wall, well that damn ol guilt kicks in… it’s as if mom is sitting on my shoulder….

#000000;">“Sherri! what are you doing!??!!??” haha and at that point i involuntarily drop my pen and my halo glimmers as i say “nothing…”

#000000;">i can remember when i was little… i had 2 closets in my bedroom.. and do you guys recall in those houses built in the late 60’s and 70’s… on the closet floor along the baseboard was the shoe rack? basically a slanted piece of wood that was raised a few inches off the floor… and it had a piece of molding running across it to help hold your shoes in place? well…. my spare closet…. the shoe rack… was very colorful 🙂

#000000;">i played in that closet… had all my color books and crayons and pens and stuffed bears and other junk in there… i would go in, sit on the floor, and party hard…. okay, as hard as a 6/7 year old parties with colors and stuff…. good times…and i had some cool visitors in there too… merlin was a frequent guest… and so was the Godfather…. Don Corleone that is…yes, i love all things mafia… not sure why but i do… oh! and the oompa loompa’s used to come hang out with me too… they used to sing with me….

#000000;">…i simply love the laugh in this song….

#000000;">i love my mother for exposing me to imagination and great music at such a young age… i think i was 9 when this album came out… and about 8ish when i first met Don Corleone….

  1. Keep creating! I just love your blog. Best, Christie

  2. Ahhhhh, I love to draw, paint and craft. I also got to listen to cool music, like Van Morrison, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac . I finally admitted to my GP of the cognitive dysfunction….Urgha ooompa loompa. It’s kind of funny, my 9 year always catches my messed up words. I love this song, haven’t heard it in a while. I am going to put your blog on my sidebar, I also love my left foot (sock) I can’t remember. He is really funny. I hope your tube visit is easy and you can imagine something cool. Your blog is very cool, your writing voice is neat thank you for sharing it with us! Big squishy hugs sent your way friend. xoxo

  3. How fun you get to let the creativity out!  If I was able to paint my floors I think I would make foot prints with arrows so maybe I would not forget where I was going :).

FYI the font is still small here where I am typing. I use the control and + key combo and expand the whole blog page.  and let me see now I am back to pot luck on the comment system giggle here we go again.

    •  i’ve noticed that the font is small when typing too…. i’m looking for the css font section to fix it 🙂

i know this system can be a pain but somehow i like it so much better than the other… and it helps solve the comment notification requests from some others… such is life… at least this time it’s got the option to use only name and email instead of all the other junk lol

i am very excited about decorating the floors… but also a bit hesitant… no room for mess-ups… well maybe.. i could always paint or lightly sand out any errors haha

      •  LOL not a criticism. I am a ding ha ha it took me awhile to remember how to turn off the notices by email with Disqus.  Just a question though . … why not just use the built in one with WordPress?

  4. Sherri, I believe that coach wants to walk all over you! Better get busy with a string for your floor. A tangled floor in the ole tin can would be awesome!

  5. Three years.  How wonderful.
And keep colouring (and showing us) please.
How do I enlarge the print here.  My MS eyes cannot read the comments of others.  Sigh.

  6. DSotM is my all time favorite album. Released about a decade before I was born but it has been with me my whole life.
For best Floyd, Animals and The Wall are right behind it. I am a sucker for concept albums..
Saw Roger Waters DSotM Tour a few years back. They play the entire album for the second set.

    •  i really enjoy some parts of The Wall…. and i really like the video that was made during the concert in Berlin… the one with all the guest performers… Sinead O’Connor, Joni Mitchell, etc… greatness

but i also think that moon is the best album of all… incredible music

  7. I feel bad now… I got on my 4 year old daughters case yesterday for coloring on the walls.  Now I wonder if when she is my age she will want to create a work of art on her own wall and be stopped by some artistic block inspired by my heavy hand.  Maybe I should just cover the walls with butcher paper so that we can both have our cake and eat it too….

    •  that is a perfect idea! butcher paper… oh how i would’ve loved that as a kid….   and now-a-days they have that really cool paint that turns anything into a chalkboard or a dry erase board… oh how neat that would be for a kid!
