>People watching is a great past-time. It’s very interesting to watch human behavior in it’s natural form. Each of us have different quirks that we may or may not be aware of, and as a people watcher, it’s easy to pick up on them.
One of my favorite places to people watch is the airport. Back in the day, you were able to go to the gate area and sit…even if you didn’t have a ticket or boarding pass. I used to enjoy watching the travelers. It was fun to try and figure out where they might be going….business or pleasure? What a person does when they are waiting says a great deal about what type of person they are. And it’s even more entertaining when they are waiting on a delayed flight. Some people are calm and just go with it….it’s not like they can do anything to change the circumstances. But the majority become agitated, irritated, and angry. They pace, fidget, and yell at people. They attempt to place blame on all the airline employees in sight, as if any of these people have any control at all over why the flight is delayed.
And then there are the goodbyes and hellos….people saying goodbye – some just say see ya and off they go, while others have a very long loving embrace or smooch as if they may not ever see that person again. And arrivals are good too….some of the greetings are such heart-felt, emotional moments. However, this one time I was watching, a man got off a plane and a woman waiting for him immediately began nagging and complaining, not even giving the man a chance to get all the way past the gate entrance! Welcome home honey! LOL
