You may or may not have noticed that I’ve changed the name of my little world here…. don’t get me wrong, my mind is still messy… always will be I suspect.

My URL is my name..duh. And when I got married my name changed. Jan and I were talking about it one day shortly after the matrimonial event… I was lamenting that my name wasn’t the same anymore. She suggested the Sherri’s Takes thing… it’s the same! So finally I’ve made the change. I like it… my takes on life, reality, and just other general shit that goes on in my world.

Okay then.

The weekend has been a decent one. My body has been paying for the PT stuff I had to do on Friday. I did pretty alright up until Saturday late afternoon… my legs just couldn’t go anymore. I know it’s a direct result of the PT. This morning when I woke up, my knee was killing me. It’s gotten better as the day has progressed and my fatigue isn’t bad today. Whew. I was kinda worried about that one… I mean, tomorrow morning is my first day at work and I surely didn’t want to show up with a cane & walking like the drunk chicken!

Coach rode the pony today. His health is so much better … it’s amazing, the transformation. ( the pony’s, not Coach’s)

Before – this is what happens when you trust someone (and pay them) to feed your animal

After – so much better now… not completely back 100% but getting close!

So we’re watching the superbowl…. just like most of the rest of the country. We bought a square on a pool… and we haven’t won a thing. It pays out by the quarter. We’re screwed.

And that’s all I have for today. I’m sure that starting tomorrow I will have a variety of tales rolling in as I get settled into my new job.

Being an adult is like looking both ways before you cross the street and then getting hit by an airplane.

  1. I like the new name, Sherri! It fits! And I can’t wait to hear all about your new job! :):)

  2. Change is good — new job, new blog title — you’re on your way!

  3. Like the new blog title, too. I did not watch the game, instead contenting myself to listen to my husband and son making fun of this and that. I understand that the halftime show was exactly what one would expect from the “star” featured. I can’t understand why that sort of stuff is socially acceptable, but whatever. We had a little laugh when the power outage happened, Eric said, “Don’t worry, I’m sure FEMA is on it.”

Good luck with the job. 🙂

  4. Good luck with the new job!!! And I like the new title.
