Evolving since MS- funny how a mangled brain shoves new things to the front… maybe some sort of compensation for what is now missing?
creating some peace of mind… helping me find new paths… teaching me to see inside more clearly

Very impressive–your art. Like to know what kind of paper, thicknesses and sizes. And are those “his nibs” to which your refer?–grin!
Most what I like about it, is that you are using a gift…and in the use, are benefiting, keeping your muscles as active as possible, in a relaxing manner…and I can ‘see’ you meditating, or at least being carried to another place momentarily. That is the mission of fine arts–take me out of this world, then when i return a minute ot a day later, I’m ready to face facts once more. Well–SOME facts!
I play a violin, that’s how I know what art can do for my soul, when it is in downward spiral. All the best in this world to you, Sherri. I also listen to ‘talk’ radio, in morning is my favorite Peeps, like 9-12 or so.
Goodbye (had written Goodbuy, a ‘seasonal’ thing, ya know?)
Another time, OK?

Hi Steve…. and thank you so much for your kind words…
You are absolutely right when you see me meditating…. I have been meditating for years and years… this art form is very conducive. I guess being subjected to the beast has caused me to slow down and slowing down has allowed me to try out some things that I put on the back burner more than 30 years ago…. I used to draw, sketch, etc all the time… but then life comes along….
I am so impressed and in awe of musicians… such a beautiful art form… and the violin – wow!
I will NEVER feel artistic again! LOL! This is awesome! Did you do it with inks and pen, or is it a computer drawing?
oh mary! thank you… i started doing these at the beginning of this year… my neuro suggested drawing as a way to help with my tremors, eye-hand coordination stuff… then i saw someone else doing these things called Zentangle… http://www.zentangle.com
so i started up with it… i love it! it brings me such peace… it’s sort of a meditative way of drawing, and anyone can do it.. the motto is “one stroke at a time”… anyway, so i started with the Zentangle concept and have sort of evolved from there… i just call what i do “line drawing”…
all of these are done with pen & ink, colored with standard map pencils… i’m just now starting to work with pens that have nibs… old fashioned! and also with some gesso and paint… i can’t believe how some of them are turning out…
you should give it a whirl! it’s really quite easy to turn out something amazing… there’s another website that has lots of patterns you can learn.. .and they have instructions on how to draw them… some of the most difficult looking, complex patterns are actually very easy to do.. that site is http://www.tanglepatterns.com
Wow, it’s unbelievable that you became that proficient in a year. I can’t wait to see how you do with the NIBS.
Not right now, but when the economy loosens up, I bet you could sell them.
actually, i have sold a few already… of course i don’t charge hardly anything because i’m so hypercritical and don’t see that they are worth anything at all lol i just love drawing… i’m making my on holiday cards this year… we’ll see how that goes over… if it turns alright i might consider making several different designs that i can box up in sets to sell next year…
