-Today I am blessed to have three amazing women in my life. New friends. These three women are wives of some coaches that Coach works with. They brought me some incredible food so that I wouldn’t have to worry with cooking while having a down sorta day. We were given lasagna, garlic bread, an apple crumb pie… an incredible fruit salad and some BBQ turkey that is absolutely delicious! Angels… each one of them.

-I have missed drawing. I’m getting myself motivated tonight by reading the plethora of sketching books I have downloaded. Each book is free… if you are interested, you can find them on my “download” tab up there. I stumbled across a website called 4Shared … there is a wealth of resource there. I found something that I am very interested in trying – anatomical drawing. In my previous life, I have a background in nursing. I love medicine and the medical world. Included in the books on the download tab up there are some incredible anatomy for artists books as well as a color atlas of human anatomy. Wow! They are all PDF files…

-The theory behind anatomical drawing is that by learning bones & muscles, their functions, insertion points, and how they move will help in figure drawing. We’ll see!

-I went to the library and picked up a new book. It’s a trilogy… Elie Wiesel’s The Night Trilogy. I read Night a few months ago without realizing that it’s part of a trilogy… I’m excited to get started on it. Devastating look at the holocaust.

Being an adult is like looking both ways before you cross the street and then getting hit by an airplane.

One Response to “Food & Anatomy”

  1. I never knew it was a trilogy….we had to read Night in High School and Elie Wiesel came to my school for an assembly. I remember being fascinated and I’ll have to check out the series at the library!
