Yesterday was a busy, but good, day. It started out early. I first when to get Bob… I love Bob. Bob is perfect in the morning. I get a custom Bob because I’m allergic to eggs. I go for sausage AND bacon with cheese… oh my.

After my date with Bob, I had to pick up some things for the Thanksgiving lunch party with the special ed department at Coach’s school. I was invited to join them for lunch. It was fun. The people he works with in the SPED department are all very nice. And the kids are neat. After the luncheon was over, I headed to the doctor’s office for a blood draw… the A1C test to see if I’m diabetic. Fun. I drove over the office during the traditional lunch hour. I arrived just before 1pm. So I sat in the car for about 15 minutes waiting for the staff to return. Thankfully, before getting out of my car, I looked around the little medical complex. As I did, I glanced at the door of the doctor’s office to see if the blinds were open… and I read the name on the door. I was at the wrong stinkin’ office! I went to the neuro’s office instead of the GP’s office… dummy. So I got back on the road to the RIGHT doc’s office. I got there around 2(ish) and went in. The staff there told me they couldn’t do a blood draw because the doctor wasn’t there. Sheesh. I went back this afternoon and thankfully remembered to go to the GP’s office instead of wasting time going to the wrong place ha! Of course, when I left, I took a wrong turn and ended up somewhere new & foreign to me. The confusion was only superficial so I remembered to get my GPS going to find my way home… whew.

Back to yesterday, I left the unsuccessful visit to the doc’s office and headed to the bank, then the grocery store. Holy cow. The store was jam packed already. I thought I was being smart by shopping on Monday…. I realize this week at any store is gonna suck in a big way. I figured it’s Monday, the holiday is Thursday, most people will still be at work. Pft. I was wrong. It was absolute craziness in that store. I got the essentials we need for the next few days and bolted from the store as quickly as possible. I’ll go back Sunday for the rest of our grocery list.

After all was said and done, it was almost 4 before I made it home. My word. What a long and busy day.

While I was at the grocery store yesterday, I spent some time on the “seasonal” row looking for the peppermint peeps. I didn’t find any…. BUT… I did find these babies:

They are wonderful in my coffee… oh. I had a cup last night after dinner and have had 2 this morning. I’m indulging.

This past Sunday we spent some time with the pony. His personality is coming back… signs that he is feeling better… finally. I didn’t have my camera so I was playing with my phone a bit…

Being an adult is like looking both ways before you cross the street and then getting hit by an airplane.
