yes… i know… we’ve been living together in a common law fashion for 3 years…

but somehow, it’s different now… can’t explain it… just feel it

Being an adult is like looking both ways before you cross the street and then getting hit by an airplane.

  1. Congratulations on your engagement! It doesn’t really change anything and yet it does. At Last is one of the best songs ever!

    • thank you!

i absolutely love this song… incredible

and getting married does change things… well not on the surface, but in the heart and in the mind… in the soul 🙂

  2. The smaller portion and I have been living together for over thirty years now. Marriage was just never an issue. Just the same I am really happy for you. If you are feeling the difference it is obviously the right thing to do.

    • there’s something about the exchange of vows before family and friends…the willingness of my partner to make the vow… i know that he loves me and we’ve been living together for just over 3 years….but there’s just something about the marriage part that feels right to me… 🙂

  3. I think there are times when all the legalities of marriage are just not important. When you are in love, you are in love and you don’t need a piece of paper of a ceremony to prove your love. The only one that needs to know for sure is your partner.

    • very true! and i was/am willing to continue our lives the way they are… living together… it’s not about the piece of paper proving love…it’s about the testament before God, friends, and family… i am just awed that he wants to marry me… dedicated himself to me … trite and old fashioned as it is 🙂

  4. Isn’t love grand!! It’s a wonderful feeling when you have found your soul mate.
