today i figured i would try something a little different. i’m determined to do digital art lol

so i sketched the outline only and then used to gimp to color the image… it was fun! i’m learning more and more about the program….

before – the sketch with no color

after – colored using GIMP

i’m getting more and more comfortable with it. amazing what reading manuals and watching tutorials can do for you ha!

and at a minimum, it’s something that i enjoy to spend my days working on. who knows if anything else will ever really happen with any of it but i’m learning and being creative…

I'm a gypsy, romantic, music-lover, book-lover, creator, mother, daughter, lover, friend. I have lived in many places and had many experiences both good and bad. I love knowledge....learning new things and teaching others. I believe in a higher power...for each of us that may be something different but for those of us who believe, it's all the same. It doesn't matter what you call your maker or that high power...the most important thing is to believe - and that believing makes you a better person. I do my best to fill my world with loving kindness and compassion. And now I'm learning to live with multiple sclerosis...

  1. Did you sketch it on paper and then scan it?

    • yep! i sketched it with a graphite pencil in my sketchbook… and actually, i didn’t scan it ( my scanner/printer thing is not set up)… i took a picture of it with my phone and emailed it to myself lol once i saved the file i opened it up in gimp and started working away…
