here i am… to show you pictures…. i don’t photograph well AT ALL…. ugh… i much rather prefer to be behind the lens instead of in front of it… these photos just go to confirm my tick status to the world… such is life…
i guess i could maybe do something about it and go on a diet…. yeah, right…
no really, i need to… i’ve got to start taking better care of the ol’ vessel i’m habitating right now…. we’ll see…. ha!
before i show you the pictures though, i was going to tell you about the cupcakes… you see, i hadn’t even thought of cake… i mean, this wasn’t your traditional big wedding with all the hoopla … no real wing dings or wam wams… not even any zu-zus… we are both pretty simple people who wanted to be married… that was the main goal… so…
folks started asking about cake… shit… ok…. cupcakes then… i really wanted to have red velvet but couldn’t find any stores that made red velvet cupcakes… bummed…. so at the last minute i called H.E.B. bakery
(for those of you who don’t live in Texas, HEB is a grocery store)clerk: heb bakery, how can i help you?
me: um, i need about 50 cupcakes
clerk: we only sell them by the dozen
me: oh… ok so then i guess i need 5 dozen
clerk: what kind would you like?
me: hmm, i don’t care… i’m getting married and don’t really care if we have cake but some of the guests have been asking…so….
clerk: (giggling) chocolate… white…yellow?
me: i really don’t care….
clerk: how about 3 dozen white and 2 dozen chocolate
me: ok, that works for me
me: do you have that whipped cream frosting… i don’t like that really rich sweet frosting
clerk: yes… what color would you like?
me: um, i don’t know
clerk: (giggling)
me: i guess white?
clerk: ok, would you like us to put some coloring in the frosting?
me: i don’t care… if you want to you can
clerk: (laughing) ok, so white
clerk: would you like some sprinkles or something? (laughing before i answer)
me: i don’t care… if you want to toss some on there, you can
clerk: (laughing while putting me on hold)
clerk: (still laughing while coming back on the line) ok, so we have 3 dozen white cupcakes and 2 dozen chocolate cupcakes with white whipped frosting, no sprinkles, no color
me: (laughing) yep that about does it
bless her heart…. sometimes not caring or being very non chalant can make things more difficult on the clerks i think LOL
the cupcakes were delicious…they did a fantastic job with the white, chocolate and white whipped frosting

I’d be happy with something small and simple, but Rob wants to go the whole nine-yards with more than 100 friends and family. After I finishing picking things out, I can not think about it against until the time comes. (one can only hope, lol) Congrats, again!
